Transformers for industrial applications
We have always manufactured high-quality, reliable transformers for industrial applications, designed to meet the most diverse and complex technical needs. A significant part of our resources is dedicated to the development of this type of transformer for any industrial application that requires high power or high currents, including transformers and reactors for metallurgy, rectifier transformers and transformers for electricity distribution.
Transformers and reactors for metallurgy
The transformers for electric furnaces and the series reactors are used to power traditional or innovative electric arc furnaces (the latter recently developed following the introduction of power electronics in the regulation of electrical parameters) used for metal melting. They are special transformers characterized by high secondary currents that must be regulated for process purposes. Series reactors are instead used for the stabilization of the electric arc and the improvement of performance during the melting phases.

Rectifier Transformers
The rectifier transformers connect the main electrical network and the AC/DC, AC/AC converters to transform the input electrical parameters into the values necessary to realize the conversion and regulation of the output electrical parameters, often characterized by high currents and distorted waveforms. Its typical applications are DC arc furnaces, electrolysis, aluminum foundries, graphite furnaces, traction substations, metal refining, and variable speed drive inverters.
A rectifier transformer is often coupled to other components such as regulating transformers (or autotransformers), saturable reactors, and interphase transformers, all products in our portfolio.
Transformers for electrical energy distribution
Distribution transformers for industrial applications are used wherever it is necessary to connect power distribution and utilization systems operating at different voltages, to transfer large amounts of active and reactive power between these systems.

Transformers for electrical energy production
The locations where electrical energy is generated often do not coincide with those of distribution and consumption. This means that to optimize energy transmission over long distances, it is necessary to modify the current and output voltage of the generator through a step-up transformer.
In addition to step-up transformers, we also produce transformers to power the auxiliary systems of power plants.

Transformers and reactors for electric energy transmission
Electrical power transmission transformers and autotransformers are used to interconnect electrical systems at different voltages, thus ensuring the continuity of the transmission service.

Distribution transformers are used wherever it is necessary to connect transmission, distribution and electrical power systems, which operate at different voltages, in order to transfer large amounts of active and reactive energy between these systems. These are now also used in mobile substations, which are needed to supply energy where a standard substation is not or cannot be built.
